Scott finally had a weekend off from his NHRA Top Fuel Dragster so he decided to break out 'Studezilla'! For the record, Scott is the only person to ever attempt an 8000+ hp Nitro motor in a car with doors. This is some Evil Knievel shit that he is doing! lol

In the second round of eliminations, 2012 world champion Antron Brown's Matco Tools dragster went out of control and crashed near the finish line. Brown emerged from the crashed car under his own power and was checked and released by NHRA emergency services officials. He received only very minor injuries in the incident. "I am feeling good," Brown said. "I've got some scrapes on my legs, and my back is a little sore, but overall, I feel good.

Sadly, that is a lesson the NHRA has experienced on multiple occasions, whether it was an agreement made between the states and tobacco companies that forced long time partners like Winston, Marlboro, Kool, Skoal, Players, and Camel to leave racing series like NASCAR, F1, IndyCar/CART, and the National Hot Rod Association entirely, or a long term partner in Coca-Cola looking for an exit by any means forcing the sanctioning body into an uncertain situation at a time when the world was a standstill fighting a pandemic. Forcing the series to leave the racetrack and take the fight to court to stand up for what they were promised. Blake Alexander has a few seasons of Nitro Funny Car racing under his belt now, and he was quick to stop and get the beautiful, painted body of the Jim Head Racing Ford Mustang up to prevent the fire causing any more damage in the second session of qualifying at the NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway. Drag racing is a rough sport but when drivers pay attention like this and get the car stopped quickly, they can save the teams a lot of work back in the pits.

In Pro Stock, Greg Anderson raced his Chevrolet Camaro to a holeshot win against Ken Black Racing teammate and points leader Jason Line. Anderson posted a 6.590 at 210.01 and used a quicker reaction time to cross the finish line before his teammate, who powered his Chevrolet Camaro to a 6.581 at 210.57. Anderson raced past V. Gaines, Jeg Coughlin Jr. and Allen Johnson in the earlier rounds.
