In this step-by-step video I explore a technique that allows you to add jiggle or breast physics to your character in Unreal. I work with a CC3 character but if yours has the correct skeletal structure with breastbones it should work for you too! I demonstrate the same technique successfully being used for butts too (without having to add extra bones). NOTE: this technique does not currently work for UE5 I’m Mr H and this is Mr H Makes. I'm teaching myself how to animate 3D films using a mixture of Reallusion’s iClone, CC3 and Epic game’s Unreal Engine! This channel is to document my journey, as well as inspire and educate those who want to create animations and short films too (quickly and relatively cheaply)! 🕘Timestamps: 00:00 Intro 00:46 Quick iClone bit 01:09 About iClone Springs 02:13 The Importance of Breast Bones 04:01 Import FBX to Unreal (animation only) 04:56 Using Simulation mode 06:13 The part about Physics! 06:43 Turn Physics OFF on all colliders 07:19 ADD colliders (spheres) to bones 08:16 Collider Physics Settings 08:50 Adding Constraints 10:24 CONFIGURE linear/angular LIMITS 12:05 CONFIGURE linear/angular MOTORS 13:24 Adding Butt Collider capsule 13:58 Adjusting Butt Collider Physics 14:11 Adding Butt Constraints 15:07 Manually SWAPPED constraint bone 1 & 2 15:45 Configure Butt's linear / angular limits & motors 19:05 Take Recorder & Sequencer set up 20:20 Recording Physics in Sequencer without BP 20:50 Adding a Blueprint (BP) 22:05 Set BP Capsule Collision Preset to 'Custom' 22:34 BP Capsule Set Object Type to 'Pawn' 22:55 BP Mesh component - enable Simulate Physics 23:08 BP Mesh Component - Collision Presets to Ragdoll 25:54 Final render in Movie Render Queue - LINKS Tutorial-related links: Original renderosity article: 🤍 Reallusion forum link: 🤍 iClone Spring settings: 🤍 Software: Unreal Engine: 🤍 Auto-setup plugin: 🤍 iClone: 🤍 CC3: 🤍 Motion Live: 🤍 Live Face Profile: 🤍 3DXchange pipeline: 🤍 Unreal Engine: 🤍 iClone livelink (Unreal marketplace): 🤍 - SOCIAL Twitter: 🤍MrHMakes1 #iClone, #CC3 #reallusion #3D #animation #Character #Unreal

How to get a physically simulated ponytail to follow your character's head? Watch. This is the setup if you want to use EXTRA skeletal meshes for your hair/clothes. Note that these still need bones in this setup. But atleast you don't have to add these bones to your player character's skeleton which is very nice if you want multiple accessories with different bone setups. I struggled for 3 days until I finally figured out how to get these bone chains to simulate AND follow your character around, hopefully I can save someone the struggle. Cheers!

This is a short tutorial on how to make this Unreal Engine character have a dynamic flowing tail! Out the box this characters tail is not rigid so it looks very odd and stands straight up when used as a playable 3rd person character. This tutorial will help you understand how to solve these type of issues within Unreal Engine. Until recently, creating character motion was the domain of expensive third party DCC apps. With the release of 4.26, Unreal Engine introduces further refinements to Control Rig: our suite of in editor rigging and animation tools. Whether you are authoring traditional style animation assets via keyframes or driving characters procedurally at runtime, Control Rig opens the door to easily crafting all manner of complex rigging solutions. In this video, Unreal Engine Evangelist Andreas Suika, himself a newcomer to the world of rigging and animation, brings to life several characters of dramatically different motion requirements right within the Unreal Engine editor. Learn how to export MetaHuman assets from Epic’s Unreal Engine and then import them into Houdini for use within KineFX, Houdini’s rigging and animation framework and toolset. We will then retarget animation onto the MetaHuman asset and look at using Houdini’s Ragdolls to add more dynamic behavior. The results will then be exported back into Unreal for use in games/cinematics. Michael Goldfarb is a Training Lead at SideFX. He creates courses for the Houdini Insight learning platform, consults with instructors about curriculum, and supports the Houdini Educator Community. Prior to joining SideFX he worked in the Film/TV industry, primarily as a Character Technical Director.
