Transforming the Broken Relic to a Cursed Relic to a Divine Relic walkthrough guide in Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course (DLC) for the Xbox One. This is a relatively confusing process and not explained in-game, so here's the modified summary, courtesy of the Cuphead Wiki: Broken Relic: Bought from Porkrind's Emporium. Equipping the Broken Relic has no effect on the player. Instead, the player just has to buy it to access the Angel and Demon boss fight in the Graveyard. After defeating this boss, the Broken Relic will turn into the Cursed Relic. Cursed Relic: The Cursed Relic provides the player with a variety of ailments and abilities, most noticeably reducing you to 1 HP at the beginning of every level. Player equipped shots are ignored, opting to instead randomize the player's weapon every time they begin shooting. The shots can be any weapon, whether they have been bought or not. Using an EX attack does not change the currently equipped weapon, so it is possible to choose the EX attack to fire, although it may take a while to get the desired weapon. With the Cursed Relic equipped, defeat bosses on Regular or Expert Mode and the Cursed Relic becomes the Divine Relic and changes the overworld music everywhere to Joyous Promenade. Each boss can only contribute points once. Cumulatively, 16 points is need to activate Divine Relic. Here is a list of points given by each boss: Inkwell Isle 1 - 2 Points Inkwell Isle 2 - 2.5 Points Inkwell Isle 3 - 3 Points Inkwell Isle 4 - 3 Ponts Kind Dice and Minions - 1 Point The Devil and Chef Saltbaker - 4 Points Depending on how many bosses have been defeated whilst having the Cursed Relic equipped, the positive abilities received from the relic will become stronger, and the purple aura will change, with the smoke particles slowly being replaced by circles that expand and then disappear. In the final phase of the cursed relic, the smoke particles are completely replaced by the circles. Each icon represents the different phases of the relic. Eye Icon Lv.1: 0 Points needed, 0% Super Meter's charge rate, Smoke Bomb activation Every 8th Dash, Whetstone activations Every 8th Parry, Parry needed to Regenerate 1 HP is 3, 3, 4 and 10 total. Eye Icon Lv.2: 4 Points needed, 1.3% Super Meter's charge rate, Smoke Bomb activation Every 5th Dash, Whetstone activations Every 5th Parry, Parry needed to Regenerate 1 HP is 2, 3, 4 and 9 total. Eye Icon Lv.3: 8 Points needed, 2.6% Super Meter's charge rate, Smoke Bomb activation Every 3rd Dash, Whetstone activations Every 3rd Parry, Parry needed to Regenerate 1 HP is 1, 3, 4 and 8 total. Eye Icon Lv.4: 12 Points needed, 3.9% Super Meter's charge rate, Smoke Bomb activation Every 2nd Dash, Whetstone activations Every 2nd Parry, Parry needed to Regenerate 1 HP is 1, 2, 4 and 7 total. Divine Relic: Unlike the Cursed Relic, the Divine Relic does not reduce your starting HP, leaving you with the normal 3 HP. However, the relic still randomizes your weapons every time you begin shooting, and with it you receive the full benefits of Smoke Bomb, Whetstone, and Heart Ring, as well as charging 5.2% of the player's Super Meter every second (Opposed to Coffee's 4%). I spent a lot more time with The Divine relic and though in My opinion, it is still not the best charm in the game, I reckon it is not as bad as I made it up to be. And more Importantly, it actually is great for the Regular mode and will most likely help you kill any boss. Did you know this interesting fact about Cuphead? The inspiration behind Baroness Von Bon comes from different actresses that were around the early 20th. They also took inspiration from Marie Antoinette, the last queen of France before the french revolution. She was executed via the guillotine which inspired the fourth phase of her boss fight where she would throw her own head towards Cuphead. How broken is it? As broken as it allows you to EASILY "S Rank" Bosses in the game, even for average players like myself, probably is the EASIEST way to get S rank in Cuphead right now. So, what does the Divine Relic actually do? You'll get the effects of Smoke Bomb, Coffee, Whetstone and Heart Ring all in one Charm slot PLUS access to all weapons randomly; it'll change when you Dodge, EX/Super or stop attacking! Play with whatever weapon you get or if you're greedy like me, you better pray to your RNG GOD for a good weapon roll. Smoke Bomb: Allows you to dash through everything without taking damage (In Airplane levels, gives you some I-frames) Coffee: "Super" continously fills = get your "Super" faster = MORE DAMAGE Whetstone: You can parry non parry-able projectiles/enemies/bosses and deal dmg. Heart Ring: You'll gain 1 HP in your first, third, and sixth parries. So why is Divine Relic broken? For starter, you get Smoke Bomb and Coffee, on top of that you get he new charm Heart Ring, which allows you to get hit up to three times per stage without voiding your S rank since you only need to finish the stage with 3 HP remaining!! (Well, in reality is up to two times, 'cause in most normal stages you won't be able to reach six parries) Honestly, the only con I see is that your weapons will change randomly, but it's not a big deal when you get used to it. How to get S Rank in Cuphead?
